ASHTON SEALS’ RAPID RESPONSE TEAM
The Gasket team at Ashton Seals are rightly proud of our rapid response to quotation requests, very competitive prices and the shortest possible delivery times. However we surprised even ourselves recently in how quickly we were able to turn around an order for some Print Anvils.
From the material docking in Hull early one Friday morning, the product was shipped the same morning to our converters in Hertfordshire and slit, arriving at our premises at 2pm on the same day.
In a Herculean effort, the whole production team had been “converted” to work solely on the job, by the time the material arrived.
Staff volunteered to help from departments as varied as Quality, Warehousing, Despatch and even Marketing. In less than two hours a production run that would normally have taken days was packed and readied for shipment.
Whilst others have taken the decision to close Friday afternoons for economic reasons, Ashton Seals continue to serve the needs of its customers five days a week and are able to offer same day service by request.
Jon Thornton, Operations Director of Ashton Seals commented, “it was a great effort by the entire team to turn the order round so quickly, the end result was a very satisfied customer”.
