KARATE CUTTER AT ASHTON SEALS!
Ashton Seals Gasket Supervisor Terry Stainforth has recently achieved his Black Belt at Shotokan Karate, a fantastic achievement that has been the result of years of hard work and dedication.
Terry originally joined the Shotokan Karate International Association and was trained by Sensei Asano (a Japanese Karate expert) up to Brown Belt from 1988 - 2010. Sensei is the Japanese word for “Who has gone before”.
He then joined the KUGB training centre at the Barnsley Metrodome and trains twice weekly with them as well as daily at home.
Within South Yorkshire Terry has taken part in numerous exhibitions to raise funds for Barnsley’s Shotokan team and he is currently extending his knowledge to train using weapons such as Bo (a 5 foot stick), Nunchaku (2 sticks on a chain), and swords.
Needless to say Terry has no enemies at The Ashton Group!!
